The benefits of using LED lighting

Why Lumen and not Watt?

The power of the lightbulb expressed in Watt is the one consumed from network and not all of it is transformed to light.
The luminous flux represents the luminous power perceived by the human eye and it is expressed by lumen (lm).

For a better understanding of these notions, this table presents a comparison between the luminous flux and the different types of light sources.

Luminous flux Incandescent Halogen Economic LED
100-150 lm 15W 10W 6W 2W
200-300 lm 25W 18W 8W 4W
300-450 lm 40W 28W 10W 5-6W
500-700 lm 60W 42W 15W 7-8W
700-900 lm 75W 55W 20W 10W
950-1200 lm 100W 80W 25W 12W
1300-1500 lm 140W 100W 30W 15W
1700-1900 lm 150W 120W 40W 20W
2000-2500 lm 200W 150W 80W 30W
2800-3200 lm 220W 180W 100W 40W
